LED Filament Lamp ED90 as a replacement for HQL, HQI and NAV
The ED90 LED filament lamps offer a high-performance LED solution for commercial and industrial existing luminaires. The product family comprises variants from 25 to 45 W with luminous fluxes from 4,750 to 8,550 lm and colour temperatures from 1,800 to 6,000 K. With a luminous efficacy of up to 190 lm/W, a suitable version is available for virtually every lighting requirement.

Direct mains operation with E40 base
The ED90 LED filament lamps can be operated both with an existing conventional ballast (magnetic/inductive) and directly on mains voltage. For long-term reliable operation, it is recommended to electrically bypass the existing ballast. It can remain in the luminaire and does not need to be removed.

/ Installation
To a ready-to-operate LED lamp in five steps
The retrofit must be carried out exclusively by a qualified electrician. Before installation, it must be verified that the luminaire, lampholder and supply voltage are suitable for the selected LED filament lamp.

Switch off the power supply: Disconnect the luminaire from the mains at the main switch or fuse and verify that it is de-energised.

Prepare the luminaire for mains operation: Remove the ballast, capacitor and ignitor. Then connect the phase and neutral conductor directly to the lampholder in accordance with the wiring diagram.

Insert and switch on the LED lamp: Insert the LED filament lamp into the appropriate E27 or E40 lampholder. Check the installation and secure fit, then switch the power supply back on.
